PUBLIC LIBRARY | Interior Design Studio IV | Spring 2024
Team: Tori Holds
Ames Place is Ames, Iowa’s new public library that reflects and supports the diverse makeup and needs of the community, incorporating new programming elements and inclusive resources. The creative concept draws inspiration from timeless typography and graphic elements found in the books themselves, utilizing bold wayfinding signage to guide patrons through the space. Vibrant primary colors organize spaces and evoke a sense of creativity and exploration. This cohesive design language not only enhances the library’s aesthetic appeal but also reinforces its identity as a dynamic community hub, celebrating the power of storytelling.
